I'm Dave Sherwood, serving as General Manager of Younger Brothers Construction, our company’s residential and commercial framing division. Since the company’s founding in 1975 we have completed thousands of projects that have provided unparalleled experience.

Our mission is clear and steadfast: to supply our customers and trade partners with a best in class framed product while reducing customer service calls and back-charges. We engineer quality into our work. A team of specialists walks every job we frame to assure our work meets the highest quality standards.

A Layout Team works closely with our customer’s Field Manager to confirm all plan redlines and to ensure special needs are met. We capture and record changes on building plans to assure the final product is built to rigorous quality specifications, every time.

Many customer plans are designed and estimated using a custom-developed CAD-CAM software to assure integration of the most up-to-date building techniques and technologies. This continual attention to detail guarantees consistency of product, reduction in construction delays and the accuracy of information needed to build every home on time, right the first time.

More about framing

• Residential Division: we currently build for 24 local and national homebuilders. We have long-standing relationships having worked with many homebuilders since their inception. We consider ourselves partners with our builders and pay attention to their wants and needs so as to exceed their expectations. We work closely with other trades on the job site to assure we solve problems and hand off our work efficiently.

• Commercial Division: our commercial division prides itself on a “cycle-time” mentality to better serve builder needs. We understand the time restrictions placed on general contractors and willingly work through overlays of sub-contractors to ensure successful project completion.

• Innovative Design and Estimating: our prefabricated Wall Panels and Roof Trusses offer more consistent stud and hardware locations, less waste and are of higher quality than standard stick frame construction leading to fewer crew delays in the field.

• Quality Materials and Best Building Systems: combined with the exclusive use of engineered studs (which resist bowing better than solid studs), our construction methods allow builders to turn lots faster and save in daily interest carry. With truss, panel and lumber operations all “in-house,” we’re better able to monitor quality and materials supply. The result: a higher quality, less costly, faster turnaround project for you.
