The most substantial, enduring structures rest on extraordinary framework. Younger Brothers is no different ̶ in fact, framing is how Younger Brothers Companies began.
Jim Younger III was a framer building for Design Master Homes when he was approached by the company’s executives. They had recognized the high quality of Jim’s work and the ethic behind it, as well as his attention to detail, strong leadership skills, ambition and honesty. They were in need of a new framing trade contractor and asked Jim if he’d be interested in starting his own company.
Jim didn’t waste any time, but immediately applied for and received his contractor’s license, teamed up with his father, Jim Jr., and assembled a crew of five good craftsmen. Younger Brothers Framing Company was born.
Quality People Building Better Homes
Since then, Younger Brothers Companies has grown to include 12 companies employing over 600 people. After 40+ years on the job and with more than 100,000 structures to our credit, Younger Brothers Framing Company is the clear choice for residential and commercial projects. Our company has prospered, multiplied and remained competitive because we are founded on these basic principles:
Respect – We earn it because we show it; that’s how we build long-term business relationships.
Integrity and Accountability – We want all of our customers to have results they are thrilled with, at the right cost and delivered with outstanding service. If we fall short of the mark, we own it and make it right.
Development and Innovation – Complacency is not in our vocabulary; we are committed to remaining an industry leader by staying on top of new technology and building methods, as well as devising cutting-edge improvements of our own.
Family First – Younger Brothers is a family. It’s how we manage our team and how we treat our customers. We understand that our products and services make a big difference in the lives of our clients and their families, which is why we guarantee our work.
Residential – We enjoy many long-standing relationships with local and national builders alike, because we consider ourselves partners, not just contractors. We are fully invested in each project and strive to deliver even more than expected. Our attention to the needs and wants of our clients, combined with our respect of and cooperation with other trade contractors, makes for a headache-free job with superior results.
Commercial – We understand the time constraints placed upon general contractors better than anyone. Geared with a ‘cycle-time’ mentality, we work seamlessly with sub-contractor overlays to ensure that your project is done right and done on time.
Quality Materials and Innovative Designs – We engineer and manufacture trusses and panels, maintain our own lumber yard and purchase superior materials mill direct so we can deliver the best framing methods and craftsmanship that 40 years experience can offer, as well as save you time and money without skimping on quality. We offer engineered studs and headers which, unlike standard materials, are resistant to bowing, shrinking or warping. We also carry prefabricated wall panels and roof trusses that feature consistent stud and hardware placements, provide higher quality than standard ‘stick frame’ components, and reduce field cycle-time by as much as 35%.
Strategy – Construction is more than just materials and know-how; it’s also about the process, which is why key members of our team have been trained in Total Quality Management and are committed to creating strategies that produce continual improvements, increase focus on the customer, encourage mutual respect and ensure quality work is standard the first time around.
Safety – Our crews have not only participated in rigorous safety training, but are regularly evaluated and scored by a team of independent inspectors. Younger Brothers uses these scores to improve overall compliance, and we hold weekly safety meetings to reinforce safe behaviors through discussion of on-the-job observations and incident reports. You won’t find any company that takes safety more seriously.
