Two of Arizona’s most iconic businesses, brought to life in the midst of the Great Depression, took the top two spots when the Phoenix Business Journal today published the 2016 edition of its Family-Owned Businesses list.
The list was ranked by number of full-time employees in the Phoenix area.Bashas’ Family of Stores, a business founded by Ike Basha and Eddie Basha Sr. in 1932 that has since grown into Bashas’, Food City and A.J. Fine Food Stores across the state of Arizona, was No. 1 with 3,233 employees.
